GOLF COURSES ON THE EASTERN SEABOARD
The Eastern Seaboard of Thailand boasts an abundance of Championship Class Golf Courses, by designers such as Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Peter Thompson, Gary Player, Robert Trent Jones Jr., Ronald Fream and others of the same status. BURAPHA
36 holes (2 x Par 72) designed by David Graham and Gary Panks. Burapha opened in 1994, previously for Members only, now under new management the course has had extensive improvements and is thriving; it is located right opposite Laem Chabang. |

LAEM CHABANG Designed by Jack Nicklaus the first 18 holes opened 1993. Now there are 27 holes arranged in three 9 hole loops (all par 36) this is one of the finest courses in Asia. The combination of the course, the excellent facilities and the friendly caddies all contribute towards a great day’s golf. |

KHAO KHEOW Designed by Pete Dye opened 1992, this 27 hole course (3 x Par 36) has something for everyone. Mountain breezes, large lakes, bunkers, hills and stunning tee positions all do their best to try the skills of any golfer. Undoubtedly one of the best courses in the region. |

PHOENIX Opened in 1993 this Dennis Griffiths designed 27 hole course (3 x Par 36) is the nearest to Pattaya City, 10 minutes drive. The huge clubhouse dominates the skyline containing maybe the most extravagant changing rooms anywhere. Phoenix has come into excellent condition recently. |

EASTERN STAR 18 holes (Par 72) by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, opened in 1993. Tall mature coconut trees and some mango trees define the holes. Enhanced by areas rich in flowers a strategic course where a good tee shot pays dividends. Excellent Clubhouse and facilities, Eastern Star is now in prime condition. |

BANGPHRA Designed by the Japan Design Co., 18 holes (Par 72) this course reopened in 1987 (originally 1958). Bangphra has some very memorable golf holes in great condition. The course meanders through jungle clad hills creating a spectacular 18 hole challenge, old trees line many of the fairways. |

SRI RACHA 18 holes (Par 72) designed by Gary Player and opened in 1992, this course has been home to the Thai Open but is currently closed for a full refurbishment, unlikely to reopen until 2008. |

CRYSTAL BAY CRYSTAL BAY 27 holes (3 x Par 36) opened in 1988. Formerly known as Natural Park Resort, this popular course, designed by Thai Takenaka, is always in excellent condition. Beautiful surroundings and cool sea breezes add to your pleasure. Adjoins its sister course Mountain Shadow. |

MOUNTAIN SHADOW 18 holes (Par 72) opened in 1994, designed by Ronald Fream, stunning scenery helps to create a very special golf course. Complex greens, water, trees and the landscape are all used to very good effect, resulting in a real test for even the lowest handicapper. Formerly it was called Natural Park Hills. |

TREASURE HILLS Opened in 1996, 18 hole (Par 72) designed by Yoshikazu Kato. As the name suggests this course in a treasure (and well hidden). A little further from town than most, it's a good course and well worth the trip. Normally in particularly good condition October to end January. |

ST ANDREWS 2000 Designed by Desmond Muirhead this 18 hole (Par 74) course opened in 2001. A difficult course it includes 2 long Par 6. Some of the holes may look familiar as they are virtual replicas of famous signature holes. The course has matured, single use buggies compulsory. |

SOI DAO HIGHLAND A mountain view 18 holes world class golf course especially designed by Denis Griffiths with accommodation. "Soi Dao Highland Golf Course" provides golfers with a wide Choice of terrains and lengths. Yardages vary from 7,162 (Black pin) to 6,642 (White pin) offering different challenges to all handicaps. Signature hole third 192 yards requires an accurate tee shot and the golfers have to carry about 170 yards to avoid the lake in front, with additional three bunkers around the green. |

PLUTALUANG This popular course is a favorite with Pattaya's local golfers and expats alike, one of Pattaya's first courses the Plutaluang G.C is a real character course set in some of Thailand's loveliest natural surroundings. The 27 hole, par 72 hilly layout demands physical and mental skills and accurate play. A good test of golf set in a mature setting. The newly opened club house is one of the most luxurious in Thailand. |

SIAM COUNTRY CLUB OLD COURSE Siam Country Club is the first privately owned golf course in Thailand, and opened in February 1972. In March 2006, Siam Country Club began a total renovation project of its existing 35 year old 18-hole golf course, which is today known as Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course. At the same time, a construction of a new 27-hole golf course in a property 6 Km near by was launched. |

SIAM COUNTRY CLUB PLANTATION This magnificent Lee Schmidt & Brian Curley designed 27 hole golf course opened its doors in February 2008 & in that short time has hosted 2 LPGA events. From the championship tees the 3 nine holes measure as follows Tapioca 3,759 yards, Pineapple 3,645 yards & Sugar Cane 3,736 yards which makes Plantation the longest course in the Pattaya area. It is also boasts the first ever triple green in Asia measuring over 20,000 square feet. |
