The Amazing Thailand UK Golf Day 2011 held at The London Club on 7th September was a great success, helped by the unexpected English summer & sunshine. There were 104 golfers competing on the International Course; the Shotgun Start was at 12:30. Individual winner was Andrew Turner (6 HCP) with an excellent round of 41 points and gross 73; therefore winning both stableford and lowest gross prizes. A brilliant score from the competition tees and with difficult tee placements, said by some to reflect the greenkeepers sence of humour. Ladies winner was Norma Moran with an excellent 38 stableford points. Team winners were Mike Penny & Laurence Lillie (best two scores from the winning team of four) their magnificent prize is free entry to the Joe Lewis Golf Challenge Thailand Grand Final - to be held in Chiang Mai (Nov 30th - Dec 07th 2012) This prize includes flights, accommodation at the award winning Rachamankha Hotel, and 4 rounds of golf at Chiang Mai Highlands one of Asia's finest courses.
