This Xmas and New Year tour starts in Chiangmai (the Rose of the North) and Thailand’s second largest city. Here we stay at the Chiangmai Orchid hotel, situated close to the City centre, only a short distance from its many restaurants. The famous “Night Bazaar” is a Tuk Tuk drive away, (or use the shuttle bus service) and there is plenty of fine dining on the riverside where we have our XMAS EVE GALA DINNER. Chiangmai is a musical city and most restaurants and bars feature quality live music of different styles. The first 3 games of golf will be played on the quality local golf courses. On Christmas day we travel by road to Thaton for lunch and a visit to “The Three Tribes Village” (Lisu, Akha and Karen Long Neck) then continue your journey to Chiangrai by river, a great chance to see life on the river passing through wonderful scenery and several small villages. In Chiangrai we stay 4 nights at the Wiang Inn. On Boxing Day enjoy “The Golden Triangle Tour” which allows you to visit 3 countries in one day, there is also time for shopping in Burma. Golf is played at Waterford and the stunning Santiburi golf course arguably the finest in Thailand. After golf at Santiburi return to Chiangmai for the remaining 5 nights to celebrate THE NEW YEAR and play a further 2 games of golf concluding with our FAREWELL PRESENTATION DINNER As you will see from the itinerary there are several days where free time is available for additional golf, excursions, shopping or just relaxing.
